readyridiculous asked: Hey I'm considering taking a trip to Toronto for NYE, any suggestions on (cheap) hotels? General info?
Hi!
Toronto is great for NYE! There are a ton of events being held, but some can become very pricey. For club events, it’s usually best to get a ticket in advance and give yourself A LOT of time to get to your destination and get in (the lines are huge everywhere).
In terms of hotels, I’ve stayed at the One King West Suites before (twice on NYE) and have found it to have reasonably good deals. It isn’t ideal for partying there because they have a very strict policy against it and require you to agree and sign a promise that you won’t be doing anything of the sort (i.e. just keep it reasonably quiet).
Most hotels will be charging higher rates just because of the night, so it’s best to book early. I’ve had good experiences with Hotwire for booking hotels in Toronto. When booking with hotwire, I try to keep it to above 3 stars and they also give you a geographical range which is helpful. For NYE, taxis can become super expensive because of how busy it is all over the place. I would recommend finding a hotel close to the subway line where you can easily get to where you’re going. It’s open all night and is FREE on NYE!
Let me know if I can help you in any other way! Toronto for NYE completely depends on what you’re up for doing. Whatever you decide, it is bound to be a great time with a ton of energy!
Enjoy!

This is kind of hilarious.
For some reason the poster downloaded to my computer in this coloration rather than the dark one posted on Facebook (the version that conveniently made Michelangelo’s David less…prominent).
Ah well, I love this promo.
If my father used internet, I would send him the link. Since he refuses to, I will pass this message on verbally. For anyone else in the same boat, inform the Daves!
Free Tea [for some], Toronto!
